Conclusion

There you have it - a quick and dirty guide to getting your feet wet with Over the Air High Definition Television!

I hope you have found it informative and enjoyable to read through this site, and that it helps get you started on this wonderful project.  It can be intimidating just doing a GOOGLE search on "OTA HD" and wading through many discussion boards from all over North America.

Hopefully you can use this guide as a point to easily enter this great hobby, learn the basics, figure out where to find the information you need, and formulate some great questions of your own.  I don't work for any of the websites or companies mentioned in this guide, nor do I endorse any products or services mentioned by name in this guide, or linked to in this guide.

I say this not because I don't believe in those products or services; I say this because:

Every Antenna Installation Is Different!

Remember this well.  Almost no one has the perfect and optimal line of sight to transmitters, not too close and not to far, (believe me, you can be too close to a signal transmitter for your equipment), perfect elevation with a dedicated antenna tower, the shortest possible cable runs from antenna to only one TV which happens to be in the best room in the house, and "San Diego" weather which is 20 degrees Celsius and sunny 330 days of the year!

Part of the OTA HD installation experience is to max out your reception, be surprised at what you learn along the way, and above all HAVING FUN.

Good Luck!
